Congratulations to Melissa Riethof, an associate at Meagher & Geer on being elected to the Board of Directors for Minnesota Women Lawyers.  Melissa has been a member of MWL since 1999 and actively involved since 2006.  She has served as a member of the Professional Enrichment Committee since 2006 and as co-chair of that committee for the past two years.  Melissa was past chair of the Leadership Committee.  She has been involved in a number of smaller “task forces” over the years assisting MWL in shaping the future focus of the organization.  She has also been involved in coordinating MWL programs to promote pro bono involvement among its members.  Melissa’s board term officially began on July 1, 2012.

Melissa focuses her practice on complex motion practice and appellate litigation.  She represents clients primarily in the area of medical malpractice, but also handles appeals in insurance coverage, employment law and the firm’s other practice areas. At Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Melissa was an executive editor of Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine.
