Meagher & Geer Remember our Partner, John J. McDonald, Jr.

our partner and friend, John J. McDonald, Jr., passed away. In his honor, we present this page of accomplishments in the career he loved dearly.

John focused his practice on complex litigation – especially in the areas of employment practices, commercial litigation, insurance coverage, professional liability, and legal malpractice claims.

John was named a Top 40 Minnesota attorney and a Super Lawyer by Minnesota Law & Politics for his practice in employment law. He was listed in The Best Lawyers of America and the Best Service Professionals In the United States for his practice in commercial litigation.

John represented employers in the defense of claims under their employment practices policies alleging discrimination, harassment and a full range of additional employment claims.

In commercial litigation, John represented banks, insurance brokerage firms, brokers/dealers, and financial planners in securities litigation. He worked with clients in the area of insurance and reinsurance coverage claims – including directors and officers, fiduciary and fidelity bond claims.

John will be missed by all at Meagher & Geer.
