For more than 25 years, Leatha has concentrated on counseling insurers and other clients on strategies designed to address internal and external fraud – strategies that encompass prevention as well as the handling, investigation, and litigation of fraudulent claims. She also has experience handling the defense of complex property loss cases, including litigation, appraisal, and subrogation actions. Leatha is regularly named to the Minnesota Super Lawyers® list in the area of business litigation.
Leatha is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, the Minnesota Anti-Vehicle Crime Association and the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association. She is a former adjunct faculty member at William Mitchell College of Law. She is a frequent lecturer, trial advocacy instructor and in-house trainer to clients, trade groups and other businesses regarding all aspects of property and fraud-related litigation. She speaks on subjects relating to the litigation process, deposition tactics, failure to cooperate and policy rescission.
