On February 18th Minnesota Lawyer held the 16th annual Attorneys of the Year awards banquet at the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The program honored 7 teams, 18 individuals and 5 Outstanding Service to the Profession honorees. Five honorees were also inducted into the Circle of Excellence. This award honors those who have made the Attorneys of the Year list once before. Honorees were selected by an independent panel of experts in the field. The Meagher & Geer law firm is pleased to note that our firm’s partner, Leatha Wolter, was one of the honorees.

For more than 25 years, Leatha has concentrated on counseling insurers and other clients on strategies designed to address internal and external fraud – strategies that encompass prevention as well as the handling, investigation, and litigation of fraudulent claims. She is head of Meagher & Geer’s Anti-Fraud Counseling & Litigation practice group which has handled thousands of cases over the past decade. Leatha prosecutes fraud and civil RICO matters throughout Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. She also has experience handling property, defamation, and other complex litigation. Leatha is regularly named to the Minnesota Super Lawyers® list in the area of anti-fraud counseling and business litigation.
