The law firm of Meagher & Geer, in conjunction with the Minnesota Hispanic Bar Association (MHBA), is pleased to announce its sponsorship of a reception in honor of Peter M. Reyes, Jr. who was recently sworn in as the 2012-2013 National President of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). The celebration will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Meagher & Geer’s offices in Minneapolis, hosted by firm attorney, Bryan Browning, a current member of Board of Directors for the MHBA.
As the first HNBA National President from Minnesota, Mr. Reyes’ said his term’s theme will be “Laying the Foundation for the Future.” He will focus on further developing leadership training for HNBA members, including collaboration with other bar associations, strengthening the HNBA’s infrastructure, providing value to HNBA members and partners, and continuing its strong advocacy for HNBA members, children, and the community.
Mr. Reyes is a senior intellectual property lawyer and registered patent attorney at Cargill, Incorporated. Prior to joining Cargill, Mr. Reyes worked at the law firm of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi, and clerked for the Honorable Salvador M. Rosas, State of Minnesota District Court, Second Judicial District.
