Debra Weiss Presents to HR Professionals

On May 8, 2014, Meagher & Geer partner Debra Weiss co-presented a presentation titled, “2014 Legal Updates: In 90 Minutes or Less” to members of the Southwest Metro Human Resources Association. SWMHRA, located in the Minneapolis, MN area serves HR professionals in the metro and Western areas. The group started as a way to network and share information among local companies regarding HR-related topics and events. Today there are over 160 employers and almost 300 members who participate in SWMHRA, with 65% of membership at VP, Director, and Manager levels. Meetings are hosted voluntarily by member companies and take place at least once a month. Presentation topics include compensation updates, benefits strategies, recruitment techniques, legislative changes, community events and roundtable discussions.
