Topics include: types of motions typically brought: factual and legal research: structuring the memorandum of law; filing procedures and deadlines; preparation of affidavits and other supporting documents; and framing your request for relief. Also addressed are some key differences between state and federal motion practice as well as some useful pointers on what not to do.
