Meagher + Geer is proud to announce that John Kipper has joined the firm as an associate in our anti-fraud and extra contractual litigation, commercial litigation, construction, insurance, and products liability practice groups.

Prior to joining Meagher + Geer, John served as a law clerk for the Honorable Rebecca Rossow, a Family Court Referee of the Second Judicial District.

John earned his J.D. cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. While in law school, John served as a Primary Editor for Volume 44 of the Mitchell Hamline Law Journal of Public Policy and Practice. During law school, John worked for the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights, Complaint Investigations Division (2021-2022) and was also a summer associate with Cordell & Cordell (2022).

John graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English (Literature, Language, and Theory) and a minor in Religion from Augsburg University where he earned membership in the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. John’s other activities included serving on the Advisory Board and co-founding the Critical Race and Ethnicity Studies Program, serving as Editor of Murphy Square, Augsburg’s student led literary and visual arts journal, and participating in the Pan-African Student Union and Augsburg Asian Student Association. John also earned the Outstanding Senior of the Year Award for excellence in academics, athletics, and advocacy for students.

Outside the office, John enjoys bass fishing, traveling with his partner (Citlali) and learning new cooking recipes.
