Six Meagher & Geer lawyers are co-authors of the just released treatise, Professional Liability Insurance: A Compendium of State Law. The work is published by the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
Kurt Zitzer and Rob Justman authored the Arizona section. Bradley Jones and Charles Jones authored the Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota sections. Laura Hanson and Henry Pfutzenreuter authored the Montana materials.
For all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, Guam and Canada (except for Quebec), the Compendium summarizes significant case law and statutes concerning professional liability insurance and claims-made coverage issues. Insurance professionals and attorneys will find the Compendium a valuable resource.
The Compendium is available for sale here.
Taking his authorship role a logical step further, Kurt Zitzer, a recognized leader in the Insurance Coverage and Professional Liability areas, is a featured speaker at the DRI Insurance Coverage and Practice Symposium in New York, December 6 – 7, 2012. The topic of his presentation is “Hot Issues in Professional Liability Coverage: Lessons from the DRI Compendium.” Kurt will be joined by panelists Mark Cohen of Zelle, McDonough & Cohen in Boston, Massachusetts, and Steven Rawls, of Butler Pappas Weilmuller Katz & Craig in Tampa, Florida.
